Welcome!

Come and worship with us at All Saints'. We strive to embody God's unconditional love by warmly welcoming all people. We are an affirming, inclusive congregation housed in a historic stone church. Our beautiful traditional liturgy is often punctuated by the cry of a baby or the exclamation of a child. We welcome all, young and old, singles and couples, gay and straight, traditional and nontraditional families, the certain and the questioning, and those of every ethnic and religious background. We want you to feel at home here. Please visit us this Sunday!

Announcement of New Rector

The wardens and vestry of All Saints' are happy to announce that they have called a new rector, Yejide Peters. Everyone from both the vestry and the search committee is very excited that Mother Yejide has accepted our call. A dynamic and inspiring young person in her thirties, she has been successful in a variety of activities, including youth and young adult ministry.

Education Hour Resumes September 19

All Saints welcomes back all parishioners to our Education Hour, which will return from summer hiatus on Sunday September 19.  We will again offer classes for adults, teens and children from Kindergarten through 5th grade from 9 am to 10 am.  Nursery care for smaller children will also be provided during this time.  Also on September 19, our program of Children's Chapel will begin again during the 10 am service.

Bagels & Books

The first selection for All Saints' Bagels & Books this fall will be An Altar in the World by Barbara Brown Taylor, an Episcopal priest and well-known preacher. In her book, the author "shares how she learned to encounter God far beyond the walls of the church.

CROP Walk 2010

CROP Hunger Walks are community-wide events sponsored by Church World Service and organized by local congregations to raise funds to end hunger at home and around the world. Locally, CROP Walk 2010 is sponsored by the Briarcliff Ossining Ministerial Association and brings together members of many local faith communities, service organizations, school groups, scouts and others to walk together to combat poverty and its insidious partner, hunger.

Old Parish Hall Stabilization Project - September 11 Workday

Once again, we'll be working on stabilizing the historic Old Parish Hall, next to the rectory. Please join us! Current or entering high school students, this could count toward community service hours. We have made great progress but still need to do a bit of shingling, painting and installing two doors. We've had good turnouts and good fellowship. We'll be there from 9-noon or so. Come for as much time as you can. Wear work clothes and bring a hammer, if you have one. Unskilled labor welcome. We will provide doughnuts and cold drinks.

Outreach Tarrytown/Sleepy Hollow Food Pantry

The on-going donations to the Tarrytown/Sleepy Hollow Food Pantry continue, with All Saints responsible for donations of toilet paper and laundry detergent. Distribution to the communities is the first Thursday of every month. Please place your donations in the big box, which is now in the parish hall, by the Sunday before that date. The need is still great. Last month over 250 people were served. Many thanks for your support of this outreach. Questions - please contact program co-chairs Theresa Kilman or Dru van Hengel.

A friendly reminder from Church Treasurer Ed Apuzzo

Before you leave for vacation this summer please make sure that you continue to keep your pledge payments and donations current. If you are not able to attend services on Sunday you can mail the contributions to the Church office to my attention. Many thanks.
