First Saturday of the month, 10:15 AM - 12:00 PM
With the support of the Organist/Choir Director Search Advisory Committee, I am delighted to announce the hire of our new organist/choir director, Ms. Colette Hebert.
Ms. Hebert is a Music Educator in the New York City Public Schools. She has directed and led choirs in Westchester and Central New York, and has organized international choral festivals in Austria, Germany, Australia, Hawaii and in New York City.
Ms. Hebert is currently in a graduate program at Columbia University, where she also teaches piano. She has studied with faculty at the Van Cliburn Piano Institute in Dallas/Fort Worth and at the Eastman Piano Institute in Rochester, NY. Her non-profit organization (The DAR Project) has brought music and educational programs to third world countries in Africa, the Middle East and Asia.
At All Saints' we are blessed by the gifts of our choir and musicians. Accompanied by organ, piano, or guitar arrangements, our choir offers unique and uplifting music to deepen our worship at the 10:30am service. Music is offered throughout the year, even in the summer, when Mass on the Grass takes our service outdoors. At Christmas and Easter services, the choir takes on an especially significant role in leading the congregation in sung offerings to God.
Led by Colette Hebert, our choir sings hymns and psalms, celebrating each week's liturgy and providing a source of inspiration, enlightenment, and comfort to all who come to celebrate and worship at All Saints' Church.
The Choir rehearses Sundays at 9:30am before every 10:30am Sunday Service. If you are interested in joining the choir, please contact Colette.
